An Introduction to Leadership

Identify the skills you need to ensure the survival of your business in the 21 st century and create a

personal development plan, which indicates the areas of leadership you plan to develop.

This course is aimed at helping delegates understand some of the key aspects of leadership, to raise

awareness of what a leader does and to provide a flavour of what is involved. There is insufficient

time to cover each subject in depth. Delegates will leave with a broad understanding of the essentials skills of leadership and have identified the skills they wish to develop further.

vision, values, and culture.

Preparing for Strategy - Horizon Scanning, understanding the current position, competition, and

engaging stakeholders. Diplomacy and managing conflict. Building confidence in others and enabling
